The Directory has been designed with simplicity in mind, but anything new takes a little getting used to, so if you’re stuck do not fear!

Searching the Directory

  • Finding a Business

    The Directory includes a search panel at the top of the page that helps you find businesses.

    The Directory search is powered with “smart search” capabilities. This means, unlike a lot of online directories, the search is not limited to company names and categories.

    Smart search finds key company details, even if they’re hidden deep in a detailed business description.

    Simply type in your search phrase and a location (London, England etc.) and hit search!

  • Finding a local business

    The ‘near’ parameter lets you find businesses near to a specific location.

    The directory will recognise a town, city or postcode and the results will be ordered by which business is closest to your chosen location.

    You can then refine your search further from the results page.

  • Searching by Categories

    You are also able to search the Directory by business category. General Categories can be located from the Main Menu. During the Beta testing period, new categories will be added as required.

    All businesses within the category will be shown. You are then free to ‘Refine Your Search’ further using the panel to the right of the results.



  • Creating a Profile

    Registering with the Directory is very easy and takes less than a minute. Simply click ‘SignUp’ in the top right of the page and fill in your details.

    Creating an account gives you the ability to add business listings and create a personal ‘Favourites List’ of saved business listings.

    Your profile can be accessed via a mini menu in the top right hand corner of the site. If you’re logged in the menu will show your username. If you’re logged out it will show the login option.

    Tip! Your username cannot be changed and is visible so you may want to choose wisely!

  • Keep Your Password Safe

    Remember to keep your password safe at all times. With access to your password a user can amend your business profile, and make any changes they want. 

  • Updating Your Profile?
    You can update your profile at any time via the ‘Edit Profile’ option in the Member’s Menu; located in the top right hand corner of the site.
  • Changing Your Password
    Your password can be changed at any time in the ‘Edit Profile’ page, found via the Member’s Menu. If you are logged out and cannot remember your password you can use the ‘Forgotten Password’ option on the Login Page; instructions will be emailed to the address linked to your account.
  • Changing Your Email Address
    The email address for your account can be updated in the ‘Edit Profile’ page, via the Member’s Menu; located in the top right hand corner of the site.



  • Editing Your Listing

    You can update your Business Listing at any time. Go to the Member’s Menu; located in the top right hand corner of the page and choose ‘Listings’

    From here you can click on the pencil icon to edit your listing as you wish. Remember to click save at the bottom of the page to ensure you don’t lose your changes.

  • Cancelling / Removing Your Listing

    Your listing will expire at the end of your subscription and will no longer be visible in the Directory. If however you would like to remove your listing early, you can delete your listing on the ‘Listings Page’ in the Member’s Area. Simply click the Delete Button with the icon of a trash can.

    Please note: this permanently deletes your listing and it can’t be retrieved.

    If you would like to temporarily remove your listing from the live results please get in touch and I can set your listing into a draft mode until you are ready for it to be shown again.

  • Optimising Your Listing

    I want your listing to bring you business, in the form of leads and orders.

    For this to happen your listing needs to be optimised. In the ‘Resources’ section (accessible from the Main Menu and Member’s Area), you’ll find bonus articles and PDF resources to help you make the most of your business listing.

    These resources include action items for both your listing in the Directory and your larger sales process.

    Like any advertisement, your business listing gives you a shortcut to a pre-built audience, this is incredibly valuable, but it can’t work alone; you need an established strategy to back it up.

    The resources will help you to develop a sales strategy and optimise the chances of your listing doing well.



  • Payment Security
    All payments are taken securely via PayPal or Credit Card (via Stripe) using secure SSL encryption (always look for the secure padlock to the left of the web address bar). No one at Card & Gift Network has access to your payment details at any time. If you have questions about payments please get in touch and I will be happy to help.



  • Community Offers
    Special Offers from the Community can be viewed from the Main Menu or via the link in the Member’s Area ‘Listings’ page. The details of each offer will be published on the corresponding offer page. The offers are made independently from Card & Gift Network and so any questions about these offers should be addressed to the Community Member who has made the offer.
  • Submitting an Offer
    Offers are a great way to get extra attention for your products or service. You can submit an offer at any time. Simply fill out the ‘Submit Offer’ form, found on the ‘Listings’ page in the Member’s Area.
